The public policy undertaken by the Prime Minister and implemented by the Senior Director is accompanied by various partners. These partners took part in the working groups appointed by the Permanent Group. They were thus able to share their experiences and their know-how with the heads of the administration. Their participation has contributed to the development of competitive intelligence in France, notably in their core activities. The action of the Senior Director’s mission was thus backed up by the Fédération des Professionnels de l’IE, ICT actors and think tanks.
-
The main objective of the Federation of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (FéPIE - Fédération des Professionnels de l’Intelligence Economique) is to structure and organize a profession that, under the generic name of “Competitive Intelligence”, groups together a wide range of professions, but is always oriented toward the preparation of strategic or managerial decision-making. Its creation corresponded to a need for legibility among potential customers and visibility among competitive intelligence professionals and dialogue with the public authorities.
-
Information and communication technologies (ICT) play a fundamental role in the competitive intelligence process. To carry out work in this area, the HRIE has found partners whose competence in these areas is recognized. They have played an active role, and continue to do so, in the various work meetings. Their know-how and their availability have contributed to the effective progress made in public competitive intelligence policy.
-
Think tanks group together researchers, professionals, or specialists to put ideas to work. Sometimes connected to the political world or close to the government, think tanks have notably flourished in English-speaking countries.
